It has been my privilege to witness and participate in the recovery and healing of animals
that have experienced life threatening injuries.
A firm believer that miracles happen, given the right treatments and loving care, I am particularly passionate about working with animals
that have disabilities, and believe in the therapeutic benefit of massage in conjunction with traditional medicine. I am an avid lover of
farm animals, especially alpacas. If you're having a bad day, just watch an alpaca “pronk” (a joyful gait where all fours lift off the ground).
I live on my farm,
Barron Hill Alpacas, located in Windsor, Vermont, raising award winning and pet quality alpacas since 2000. I attended classes
in alpaca behavior and training with Marty Mcgee Bennett (Camelidynamics), Kathy Spaulding (Gentle Touch) and John Mallon (Gentling & Training).
I continue to show my breeding stock throughout New England.
My farm life experience includes caring for Quarter Horses, Percherons, Jacob-sheep and Toggenburg goats.
I currently reside with my four rescue dogs, Gladys, Otis, Gray Bear and Sherman. Rounding out the crew are nine rescue cats of varying age and breeds.
I am dedicated to continuing my education and regularly attending classes/workshops to remain abreast of the most current healing methods in an effort
to provide the best techniques and service to my clients.
I am a graduate of the
Bancroft School of Massage and the Doggone U program, a nine month program.
My training consisted of a 200-hour intensive program that encompassed canine and feline anatomy/physiology, animal behavior, first aid, CPR, gait analysis
and advanced massage techniques.
Requirements included 40 hours of supervised internship which I fulfilled at the
Lucy MacKenzie Humane Society in Woodstock, Vermont.
