Massage techniques used on animals are the same ones used on people. Animals communicate through body language and behavior. I pay careful
attention to the cues your companion will give me as we spend time together in a session. These cues and behaviors provide valuable information
to direct me to areas of the body that may need special attention. I respect your companions' needs as they allow me to massage them.
Please note that animal massage is not a substitute for good veterinary care and does not treat or diagnose illness or injury.
Contraindications for Massage:
When an animal is actively ill or if your veterinarian feels it is not in the animal's best interest (ie. after surgery or if the animal indicates
that it doesn’t want to be touched).
As a therapist I reserve the right to withhold services when, in my professional opinion, it is inappropriate to provide massage.
